Electrical Maintenance Engineer FM Service Provider Healthcare - No Call Out Surrey up to £42,000

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading healthcare campus in Surrey. This site is a modern, state-of-the-art facility with multiple specialist areas and cutting-edge equipment.

You will be part of a small, skilled team of 3 engineers who know the site inside out and will help you get up to speed quickly. The campus supports a large workforce and offers excellent amenities including multiple food outlets and break areas, ensuring you have everything you need during your working day.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive, collaborative environment, maintain complex electrical systems, and gain experience across a variety of high-tech facilities.

Key duties & responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hospital electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and control systems.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels, switch gear, transformers, and circuit breakers.
  • Reporting to your line manager with any issues.
  • Escorting sub-contractors around the site.
  • Maintain and test emergency power systems, including generators, UPS units, and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
  • Respond promptly to electrical faults that impact critical areas such as operating rooms, ICU, and labs.
  • Reactive works on air handling units, fan coil units.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, outages, and repairs.
  • Ensure all electrical installations comply with hospital policies, national electrical codes, and healthcare facility regulations.

Requirements:

  • City and Guilds 18th Edition
  • Level 3 electrical installations
  • Previous experience in a hospital, medical facility, or critical-care environment preferred.
  • HV or LV knowledge (not essential)
  • General Knowledge of electrical systems.
