The Role
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented and methodical Gate Automation Engineer to join us on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:
- Installing automated gates, barriers, bollards and access control systems.
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing gate automation equipment.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.
- Commissioning new installations and ensuring they meet all safety and compliance standards.
- Providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with clients.
- Working predominantly across the East and West Midlands, with occasional overnight stays where required.

About You
To be successful in the role, you are to possess the below knowledge and skills.
Essential:
- Proven experience installing, servicing and maintaining automated gates and access control systems.
- Valid ECS Card.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage your workload.
- Positive attitude with a strong commitment to health and safety.

Desirable:
- DHF and/or Gate Safe training.
- Experience working on commercial, industrial or high-security sites.
- Knowledge of gate automation manufacturers and access control systems.
- Additional industry qualifications such as IPAF or PASMA.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
