Our client is a leading UK manufacturer investing heavily in its engineering function and is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join its established maintenance team at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the Crewe postcode area. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers from manufacturing, FMCG, food, packaging, building products, automotive, process, heavy engineering, plastics, chemical or industrial production environments who enjoy fault finding, problem-solving and working on modern production equipment.

The Role – Electrical Maintenance Engineer

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will support production by carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities across a varied manufacturing plant.

You will diagnose faults, minimise downtime and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Role Duties include:

  • Electrical fault finding and repairs on production machinery
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Reactive maintenance and breakdown response
  • Working with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Assisting with equipment upgrades and reliability improvements
  • Liaising effectively with production and engineering teams

Role Requirements – Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Applications are welcomed from electrically qualified engineers with experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

You may hold:

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering
  • City & Guilds Electrical Qualifications
  • ONC/HNC/HND Engineering preferred
  • 18th Edition preferred
  • Apprenticeship

  • Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)
  • Industrial electrical systems
