Position: Maintenance Engineer (Electrically bias)
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands (commutable from Aston, Castle Bromwich, Coleshill, Dudley, Erdington, Sutton Coldfield, West Bromwich etc.)
Salary: circa £40K depending on experience & qualifications

PRS Engineering has engaged with a new client and a leading specialist product distributor based in Birmingham. Due to recent increase in demand, we are seeking an additional maintenance engineer (electrically bias) to oversee the Day-to-day preventative maintenance on primarily, E-Fulfilment automation and secondarily, other warehouse plant/machinery. Encompassing hands on maintenance, spare parts inventory control and replenishments and external contractor control and liaison.
This position would suit a service or maintenance engineer with an electrical bias but with a mechanical appreciation of changing parts, 18th Edition (BS 7671) and ideally level 3 or level 4 qualification. An engineer who enjoys problem solving and able to respond quickly to breakdowns. You could be recently qualified with some experience behind you.

- Breakdowns 60%
- Day-to-day preventative maintenance on E-fulfilment automation 20%
- Day to day preventative maintenance on other warehouse plant/machinery 10%
- Equipment spare parts inventory control and replenishment 5%
- External control contractor and liaison 5%
Position Duties:
Daily duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Planning and scheduling day to day preventative maintenance on primarily E-Fulfilment automation Jacob white/Packrobat/B-Plus (Pick2Box)
- Able to diagnose and resolve minor issues in real time
- Any more complex issues resolved via telephone guidance from manufacturers
- Any major issues requiring manufacturers call out, a written report is supplied highlighting specific problem and future preventative action
- Documenting and recording procedures for maintenance of automated machinery
- Spare parts inventory control, stock taking, and replenishment
- Maintenance of other warehouse plant/machinery including but not exclusively:
- Dematic Stock Track
- Solus Wrapper
- Solus De-Wrapper
- Cardboard Bailer
- Taping Machines
- MHE - Mechanical Handling Equipment
- Maintaining Health and Safety Requirements including LOLER and PUWER
- Any other adhoc duties

Person:
- Must have good diagnostic and problem-solving skills;
- Be able to plan effectively and work quickly under pressure.
- Can manage a varied workload.
- Be able to meet all set deadlines while ensuring that the productivity targets are also met.
- Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written in order to tackle challenges in various capacities. Able to build rapport and build effective working relationships with internal employees and suppliers
- The ability and the capacity to understand a wide range of engineering functions and procedures, whilst working against a timeframe to complete reactive and proactive repairs.
- A good knowledge and common-sense approach towards Health and Safety Issues associated with their work
Position Qualifications:
- Level 3 (or above) in Engineering
- 18th Edition IEE Regulations
