Electrical Maintenance Engineer - FMCG
Location: Leicester
Shifts: 4 on 4 off days and nights.
Salary: £50,000 + Pension + Overtime
Reference: Jo7453/HH
The Company
An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of the UK’s strongest privately owned food manufacturers, who is a leading specialist in the manufacture of snack-based food products. They have been established for over 25 years and supply major food manufacturers as well as all the major multiples. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add to the engineering function once again.
Key Skills
- Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical Engineering
- Experience of PLC systems & Automated machinery
- Understanding of PPM systems
- Advantageous to have worked on process and packaging machinery.
The Role
You will have served a minimum of a full apprenticeship in electrical engineering and have experience working within planned and preventative maintenance schedules, working with equipment such as packaging, filling, conveyors and processing machinery within a high speed automated environment.

On a day to day basis you will work closely with production, operations & technical to improve standards and manufacturing efficiencies. You will be responsible for continuous improvement, PPM systems, reactive maintenance. In addition to this you will ideally have knowledge and experience of food manufacturing standards therefore ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of this high speed manufacturing plant including PLC controlled equipment.
The ideal candidate will also have experience of an automated production facility and the ability to work within a team or autonomously as required, you will report to the Engineering Manager and this will lead to a fantastic opportunity to progress your career to a more senior role within this secure organisation.
