An established manufacturing business based in Telford is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team due to a forecoming retirement.
The role offers a Monday to Friday working pattern, with no rotating shifts, within a clean and well-maintained manufacturing environment.
The Role
Working as part of a small engineering team, you will be responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance across machinery and the wider site. The role is approximately 75% electrical and 25% mechanical, with a strong focus on reactive maintenance, fault finding, and keeping production equipment operational.
Responsibilities will include:
- Electrical maintenance and fault finding on manufacturing machinery
- General site and facilities maintenance
- Mechanical maintenance and fault finding
- Working with Allen Bradley PLCs, including both newer and legacy systems
- Signing off trainee electrical work
- Liaising with external contractors for HVAC maintenance and repairs
- Responding to breakdowns and carrying out reactive maintenance
- Supporting the installation, transportation, and set-up of equipment as the business continues to expand

Previous Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- 18th Edition qualification
- Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- A practical, can-do approach to maintenance and problem solving
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a small engineering team
Mechanical experience would be advantageous, as would experience with Allen Bradley PLCs. A full driving licence is preferred as the business continues to acquire additional sites and there may be occasions where equipment needs to be transported or set up.

Working Hours
- Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
There is some flexibility around the working hours where required.
The role also includes a call-out requirement, typically one weekend per month. Call-outs are paid separately, with a call-out fee plus time and a half.

- £40,000 - £45,000 salary
