Field based across North Norfolk & South Lincolnshire
Up to £47,500 DOE + up to 15% bonus + company van
Monday to Friday days | TOIL | 7.5% company pension | Private healthcare
Are you an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, electrically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer or Field Service Engineer ready to bring your skills into renewable energy?
We’re recruiting for an established UK renewable energy business maintaining a portfolio of four biogas plants across Norfolk and South Lincolnshire.
This is a hands-on role offering varied electrical, instrumentation and mechanical work. You’ll work alongside maintenance and operations teams to resolve faults, prevent breakdowns and keep plants running safely and reliably.
Your responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and electrical fault finding.
- Maintain pumps, compressors, piping systems, gas upgrading equipment and gas injection facilities.
- Diagnose faults involving three-phase systems, instrumentation and control equipment.
- Support major overhauls, plant shutdowns, start-ups and commissioning.
- Coordinate with specialist contractors, complete maintenance reports and manage spare parts.
- Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota and occasionally provide plant operations cover.

What you’ll bring
You’ll have a time-served electrical apprenticeship, supported by relevant NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent qualifications.
We’re looking for experience in:
- Electrical maintenance within manufacturing or a process environment.
- Three-phase fault finding, reading electrical diagrams and using electrical test equipment.
- Mechanical maintenance of pumps, compressors and associated process equipment.
- Instrumentation, analogue and digital inputs/outputs, with an awareness of PLCs.

Your background could be in food manufacturing, chemicals, steel, petrochemicals, oil and gas or another process industry. Previous biogas experience is not essential.
You’ll need to be comfortable travelling between rural sites, working independently when required and occasionally supporting plants outside the region.
Your package
- Up to £47,500 salary, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Up to 15% bonus and regular salary reviews.
- Monday to Friday days, with TOIL.
- Company van, tools and equipment provided.
- 7.5% company pension.

- 33 days’ holiday excluding bank holidays.
