Role: Electrical Maintenance Technician – Shift
Location: Horsham, West Sussex
Type: Permanent
Shift: 4 on/ 4 off (2 days, 2 nights)
Hours: 06:30 – 18:30 / 18:30 – 06:30

SRG are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Technician for a successful and growing client based in Horsham, West Sussex.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving plant performance, ensuring operational efficiency and high engineering standards within a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair faults across electrical systems, including:
    • Sensors, relays, and contactors
    • AC/DC motors
    • Control panels and MCCs
    • PLC systems (Siemens S7 experience preferred)
  • Support plant availability, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform electrical fault finding and interpret technical drawings
  • Work with controls and instrumentation, including temperature, pressure, and flow systems
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, compliance, and housekeeping
  • Ensure all incidents, accidents, and near misses are reported promptly
  • Contribute to engineering improvements and project work

Criteria:

  • Qualified in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (HNC or equivalent)
  • Strong experience in industrial, manufacturing, or automated environments
  • Competent in fault finding, diagnostics, and maintenance
  • Ideally familiar with:
    • PLC fault finding (any platform considered)
    • MCC panel layouts
    • Control and instrumentation systems
  • 18th Edition (BS7671) is advantageous
