Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Southampton
Salary: £40,000-£46,000 + Overtime and Bonus
Shift: Double Days

Job Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking to join a growing manufacturing business that genuinely invests in its people and equipment. This Electrical Maintenance Engineer position offers the opportunity to work within a modern industrial manufacturing environment, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, supporting continuous improvement projects, and playing a key role in maximising production efficiency and reliability.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

  • Must have previous experience working as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
  • Must have experience within an industrial manufacturing, production, or process environment.
  • Must hold a recognised formal Electrical Engineering qualification (minimum NVQ Level 3).
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and repair experience on manufacturing machinery.
  • Experience carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.

Desirable Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

  • C & G electrical inspection and testing.
  • PLC fault-finding experience.
  • Experience with new equipment installations and project work.
  • Experience compiling Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
  • CMMS or computerised maintenance management system experience.
  • Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or TPM experience.
