Job Title: Lecturer in Electrical Maintenance Engineering

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours per week)
Salary: £30,600 - £40,000 per annum
Location: Middlesbrough area

Mandatory Requirement: Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline) is the only mandatory qualification required

Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Lecturer in Electrical Maintenance Engineering to join our Engineering team in the Middlesbrough area. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning across a range of qualifications, including Pearson Level 3 BTECs and City & Guilds Level 3 T Levels, within both classroom and workshop environments.

You will play a key role in preparing learners with the technical skills, knowledge, and professional behaviours required for progression into employment, apprenticeships, or further study within the electrical and engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and industry-relevant programmes of study tailored to learner needs across classroom and workshop settings.
  • Design and deliver assessment programmes in line with awarding body and organization standards.
  • Use diagnostic assessments to identify learner strengths and areas for development, implementing timely interventions.
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in internal and external quality assurance processes.
  • Promote high standards of learner behaviour, attendance, and progress while supporting teaching higher strategies.

Qualification Requirements

  • Mandatory: Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
  • (Note: Willingness to work towards a recognized teaching qualification is supported if not already held).

Teacher Training Support

If you are not yet a qualified teacher, support will be provided to help you achieve a teaching qualification (PGCE), provided entry requirements are met (Level 2 English and Maths, continuous UK residency for at least three years, and original qualification certificates).
