Are you looking for an electrical maintenance role that gives you a three-day weekend every single week?
At Berkeley Power Station, you'll join a skilled electrical team in a full-time role delivered across just four days, giving you more time outside work without compromising on the variety, challenge and development opportunities you'd expect from a technical maintenance position.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work across a broad range of electrical systems and infrastructure, helping to maintain the safe and reliable operation of one of the UK's most unique industrial sites. From fault finding and repairs to testing, installations and modifications, you'll gain exposure to varied electrical work while building valuable experience within the nuclear sector. Previous nuclear experience isn't required, and we welcome applicants from manufacturing, utilities, power generation, water, facilities management, food production and other industrial environments.
What You Will Be Doing
You'll be part of a close-knit maintenance team responsible for delivering safe, high-quality electrical maintenance across the site. Your work will help keep critical systems operating effectively, ensuring equipment remains reliable, compliant and ready to support ongoing site operations. This is a practical role where you'll use your technical skills every day to diagnose faults, complete repairs and carry out preventative maintenance activities.
The variety of work is one of the biggest attractions of this opportunity. You'll be involved in everything from electrical testing and inspections to lighting systems, motors, distribution equipment, installations and modifications. - Carry out electrical installations and modification work

Who Are We Looking For?
We're looking for someone with practical electrical maintenance experience. You'll need a Level 3 Electrical Qualification and Apprenticeship or equivalent electrical training as well as Knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, which is essential for this role. City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing is desirable, and training can be provided for the right candidate if required. You may currently work as an Electrical Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Engineer or electrically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.
You'll enjoy hands-on problem solving and be confident working with a range of electrical plant and equipment. We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering work to a high standard, works safely and collaboratively, and wants to continue developing their knowledge within a supportive team environment. Nuclear experience is not required, and candidates who meet most of the requirements are encouraged to apply.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic capability
- Experience working within three-phase electrical environments
- Ability to work safely within established procedures
- Knowledge of electrical testing and inspection practices
