Electrical Maintenance Technician
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £39,700 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (7am-3pm or 8am-4pm)
Duration: Permanent
Benefits: Contributory Pension, 26 days holiday + BHs, set weekend payments and hours in lieu for weekends (when required)
The Role:
An opportunity has become available for an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor at a major industrial gases production facility in Glasgow. The successful candidate will join a team of skilled engineers to support the operations team in maintaining the safe and reliable operation of the equipment on the Glasgow site.
This vacancy will ideally suit an experienced time-served electrical technician with a general heavy engineering background who is looking for career progression.

Duties:
- Support daily operations on our client's cylinder filling equipment through hands-on preventive maintenance and remedial repair work
- Carry out electrical, installation, test and inspections with a focus on safety, reliability, and operational continuity
- Complete routine maintenance and testing of instrumentation equipment such as pressure and temperature transmitters
- Work closely with a supportive team to ensure smooth and efficient plant performance.
Requirements:
- Qualified to maintain compliance with the 18th Edition for all new electrical installations, as well as for significant alterations or additions to existing systems
- Experience and knowledge in problem-solving processes
- Proactive, hands-on approach and eagerness to learn new skills
- Experience in maintenance, ideally in an industrial or process environment
- Safety-conscious and understands the importance of working to high standards
- Enjoy working as part of a team and supporting others to achieve shared goals
- Open to developing knowledge in instrumented systems and basic mechanical maintenance with guidance and training
