About the Opportunity
Looking for an exciting opportunity to lead and build an M & E business unit? RGB Recruitment Ltd are pleased to be working exclusively with a well established regional M & E contracting company who have earned a great reputation and work on varied schemes across the South West.
Due to an increase in workload and planned expansion, having won a number of new projects in the Healthcare, Education and Commercial sectors, a rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Electrical Contracts/Operations Manager to lead their Cornwall based work and build a new division in the area.
The Role
Working for a range of clients and main contractors, you will be responsible for the safe and successful delivery of multiple projects with contract values of up to £3m which include new build and refurbishment schemes.

Duties will include:
- Business development, identifying new opportunities in the region
- Building strong working relationships with existing clients and supply chain partners
- Contracts managing up to 4 schemes at any one time
- Leading preconstruction functions having involvement in tendering and design management
- Oversee the recruitment, management and development of staff
- Collaborate with the commercial team to oversee project budgets, procurement, and forecasting for the business unit
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Report into board level on project and region performance
The Person
- Proven experience as an Electrical Contracts or Operations Manager within the building services sector ideally within a contracting environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, installation, and design principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of the marketplace and area are advantageous
- Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or HNC/HND).
- Full UK driving licence.
