EVEREC is recruiting on behalf of a growing EV charging and renewable energy business looking to appoint an Electrical Operations Manager to take ownership of its internal electrical operations.
This is a key long-term hire for the business and an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical QS, Electrical Supervisor, Electrical Site Manager, Electrical Project Manager, or Senior Electrician looking to step into a broader operational and leadership position.
The business delivers domestic and commercial EV charging projects and is expanding further into larger commercial charging installations, solar, and wider renewable energy solutions, with ambitious plans to grow nationally.
You’ll initially take responsibility for a small team of field electricians, ensuring work is completed safely, compliantly, and to a high technical standard.
As the business grows, you’ll play an important role in developing the electrical function, growing the team, and supporting increasingly complex commercial projects.
This could particularly suit someone who has spent several years on the tools and is now looking for more autonomy, technical responsibility, and long-term progression, while still remaining close to project delivery.
What you’ll do
- Take day-to-day responsibility for the technical oversight of electrical installations
- Supervise and support a growing team of field-based electricians
- Review, verify, and oversee the certification of completed electrical works
- Ensure installations meet relevant electrical regulations, standards, and company requirements
- Support electricians with technical queries, fault finding, and complex installations
- Carry out site surveys, audits, and technical assessments where required
- Support the preparation of quotations, scopes of work, and project costings
- Coordinate electrical works across domestic and commercial projects
- Support the delivery and project management of larger commercial EV charging installations
- Work closely with the Directors to improve processes, standards, and operational performance
- Help develop the company’s capabilities across EV charging, solar, and wider electrical/renewable technologies
- Play a key role in recruiting, developing, and growing the electrical team

What we’re looking for
We’re open-minded on exact background and current job title. You may currently be working as an Electrical QS, Electrical Supervisor, Senior Electrician, Electrical Site Manager, Electrical Operations Manager, or Electrical Project Manager.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Strong electrical installation experience and relevant electrical qualifications
- Up-to-date knowledge of BS 7671 / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Appropriate competence and experience to inspect, test, certify, and oversee electrical installation work
- Strong understanding of electrical testing, certification, and compliance
- Experience overseeing, supervising, or supporting electricians in the field
- Ability to carry out site surveys and assess technical requirements
- Commercial awareness and confidence supporting quotations and project costing
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to take ownership of the electrical function
- Full UK driving licence
- Based in South Wales and able to travel to the Cardiff office and project sites

Previous experience acting as a Qualified Supervisor (QS) or working within a NAPIT/NICEIC registered contractor would be highly advantageous.
Experience within EV charging would also be highly advantageous, although we’re interested in candidates from solar PV, battery storage, electrical infrastructure, and wider commercial electrical contracting backgrounds.
