Electrical Package Manager – Data Centre
PE Global Recruitment is currently recruiting Electrical Package Managers on behalf of a leading European contractor delivering a major Data Centre development in Blyth, Northumberland. We are looking for experienced Electrical Package Managers with a strong electrical engineering background to take ownership of key electrical packages from construction through to testing, commissioning and final handover.
These are permanent, locally based positions.
The Role As Electrical Package Manager, you will take responsibility for the technical and construction delivery of assigned electrical packages on a large-scale Data Centre project. You will work closely with the wider project team, subcontractors, engineering teams and commissioning personnel to ensure electrical systems are delivered safely, on programme and to the required technical and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned electrical packages from construction through to commissioning and handover.
- Provide strong technical oversight of electrical installations and associated systems.
- Coordinate electrical subcontractors, engineers and site teams.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, technical submittals, RFIs and design information.
- Monitor programme, progress and key project milestones.
- Ensure installations are completed in accordance with approved design, specifications and project requirements.
- Coordinate with mechanical, CSA, BIM, QA/QC and commissioning teams.
- Manage technical interfaces between electrical systems and other disciplines.
- Identify and resolve technical and construction issues throughout project delivery.
- Attend and contribute to project, design, coordination and progress meetings.
- Support QA/QC, testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover activities.
- Maintain strong communication with senior project management and relevant project stakeholders.

Essential Experience
- Electrical engineering background is essential.
- Degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and installations.
- Previous experience in an Electrical Package Manager, Electrical Construction Manager, Electrical Project Manager or similar engineering-led position.
- Experience delivering significant electrical packages on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, specifications, technical documentation and design coordination.
- Experience managing electrical subcontractors and site teams.
- Good understanding of QA/QC, testing and commissioning processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Previous Data Centre experience is highly desirable, although candidates with relevant electrical engineering experience gained on pharmaceutical, semiconductor, industrial, energy or other technically complex M&E projects will also be considered.
