Electrical Pre-Construction Engineer
Core Search are working with a well-established MEP Contractor with over 50 years of industry experience who are continuing to grow their Pre-Construction team due to a strong pipeline of commercial fit-out projects across London.
They are looking to appoint an Electrical Pre-Construction Engineer to support project bids, design coordination, and technical submissions from tender stage through to project award.
This role is ideally suited to someone currently working as an Electrical Project Engineer who enjoys the technical side of project delivery and is looking to move into a more office-based, pre-construction-focused position.

Salary / Package
- Salary between £75,000 - £85,000

Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, specifications, and technical requirements
- Support the production of electrical tender submissions and proposals
- Work with estimating teams to develop tender pricing and technical solutions
- Review designs and identify opportunities for value engineering
- Assist with technical submissions, RFIs, and project presentations
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and supply chain partners during bid stages
- Support procurement strategies and subcontractor enquiries
- Assess project risks and opportunities during pre-construction phases
- Coordinate information between pre-construction and operational delivery teams
- Support project handovers following successful project award
Requirements
- Background working for an MEP, Building Services, or Electrical Contractor
- Current or previous experience as an Electrical Project Engineer
- Good understanding of electrical building services installations
- Ability to read and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- HNC, HND, or Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery processes
- Looking to build a long-term career within a pre-construction environment
