Electrical Project Engineer

The Opportunity

We’re working with an established engineering business that is experiencing continued growth and is looking to appoint an Electrical Project Engineer to join its team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to take ownership of projects from enquiry through to completion, working closely with clients, internal design teams, site teams, and subcontractors.

You’ll be joining an experienced engineering environment where you’ll have access to an in-house design team, providing technical support and solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

The Role

As Electrical Project Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, to specification, and to the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing projects from initial enquiry through to final acceptance and documentation.
• Liaising with clients to understand requirements and attending site surveys where required.
• Coordinating and directing trade operatives and apprentices, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Working closely with the design team to ensure technical information is available when required.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project schedules and directing works accordingly.
• Preparing project and handover documentation, including as-built drawings.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues and non-conformances throughout the design and construction phases.
• Supporting the design and development of systems and products in line with project specifications.
• Managing project quality deliverables and ensuring compliance with client and internal quality systems.
• Contributing to tender, design, and construction programmes, including progress reporting.
• Liaising with subcontractors, including reviewing quotations, specifications, and health & safety documentation.
• Supporting the preparation of Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans where required.
