Project Engineer – Electrical
Location: Leiston, Suffolk (Sizewell B Power Station)
Salary: Up to £65,000 + Benefits
Job Type: Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of projects at EDF Sizewell B Power Station. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regulated and safety-critical environment, contributing to the delivery of key engineering projects that support the UK's energy infrastructure.
Working closely with the client, Project Manager, and multidisciplinary project teams, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering activities throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Coordinate engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
- Manage project planning, cost control, risk management, quality requirements, and programme delivery.
- Support Safety Case development and ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and CDM regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare project reports, business cases, and funding/sanction documentation.
- Support commercial and contractual aspects of project delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and effective project execution.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Experience within highly regulated or safety-critical industries.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, engineering delivery, quality assurance, and commercial management.
- Experience in estimating, cost control, project planning, and risk management.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- APMP qualification (or equivalent) and Chartered Engineer status are desirable.
- Previous experience within the nuclear industry or power generation sector is advantageous but not essential.
