About the Role

The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for the design of electrical packages on Generator projects ensuring compliance with both project specifications and industry standards. The Electrical Project Engineer also assists in the development and improvement of engineering processes and best practices, and supports the business development group.

This role has responsibility for quality, process and the high standards our customers expect.

  • Assisting the Engineering team in the delivery of design and delivery of projects and proposals, specifically focusing on electrical packages.
  • Provide up front technical support to the Engineering Dept in the specification and design of UPS and Generator systems, specifically focusing on electrical packages.
  • Responsibility for the specification and design of electrical packages on UPS and Generator projects from project handover to completion.
  • Development of design documentation, method statements, risk assessments, procedures and associated test documentation.
  • Preparation of technical proposals, submissions, procedures, scopes of work, and studies.
  • Attend Factory Witness Test of generators and control systems in UK and/or Europe, along with client representatives.
  • Provide Projects Administrator with the necessary technical documentation required to complete project O&M manuals.
  • Other Departmental activities as requested by the business.

Requirements

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience in an Electrical Design Engineer role
  • Experience using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
