Job Purpose

Responsible for delivering allocated engineering projects from initial scope through commissioning and final handover. Working with the Project Manager, they ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring compliance with company procedures and statutory regulations. The role also coordinates internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver effective mechanical and electrical engineering solutions across ECS Engineering projects.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day delivery of allocated projects.
  • Coordination of internal engineering resources.
  • Management of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Monitoring project budgets and programme.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
  • Supporting commercial performance through variation management and cost control.
  • Maintaining effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Deliver engineering projects safely, on time, within budget and in accordance with contractual and quality requirements.
  • Review project scope, drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate site activities, subcontractors, labour, plant and materials to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Prepare and review RAMS, undertake site inspections and audits, investigate incidents, and ensure quality inspections and project records are completed.

Skills & Experience

  • HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience managing mechanical and electrical installation projects.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation including CDM Regulations.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
