Electrical Project Engineer

CAT B Commercial Fit-Out

Leading M&E Contractor

Greater London

£60k - £80k + excellent benefits

A leading M&E contractor is looking to appoint an Electrical Project Engineer for a major CAT B commercial fit-out within the London financial district.

The project involves the delivery of high-specification electrical services for a global financial organisation. It will include technically demanding office, meeting, amenity and operational spaces, with a strong focus on resilience, coordination and quality.

The successful candidate will support the Electrical Project Manager throughout the delivery programme, managing technical information and helping to drive the electrical package through installation, commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage electrical technical information, drawings, specifications and submittals.
  • Coordinate electrical services with mechanical, architectural and structural packages.
  • Review designs for compliance, buildability and installation requirements.
  • Raise and manage RFIs, technical queries and design changes.
  • Support procurement and monitor electrical equipment and material schedules.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and specialist supply chain partners.
  • Monitor installation progress, quality and programme performance.
  • Manage inspections, quality records and snagging activities.
  • Support testing, commissioning and integrated systems testing.
  • Maintain accurate as-built information and handover documentation.
  • Attend design, coordination and progress meetings.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, design team, client representatives and main contractor.

  • Previous experience as an Electrical Project Engineer within Building Services.
  • Experience delivering CAT B commercial fit-out projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, containment, lighting, small power and life-safety systems.
  • Exposure to UPS, resilient power or financial-sector projects would be advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret electrical designs, specifications and coordinated drawings.
  • Experience managing technical submittals, RFIs, procurement schedules and quality documentation.
  • Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • A relevant electrical or Building Services qualification.
