Electrical Project Manager - Grid Connections & HV Infrastructure
Location: UK - 100% Remote

We are working with an established engineering business delivering electrical infrastructure and grid connection projects across the UK. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to take ownership of projects from contract award through to completion.
This is a 100% remote role, with travel to project sites, clients, and stakeholders as required.
The Role
You will take overall ownership of electrical infrastructure projects ranging from LV through to 132kV, covering grid connection and private/Balance of Plant projects.
You will manage multiple projects and coordinate internal teams, Site Managers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical infrastructure projects from contract award through completion.
- Manage project programmes, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables.
- Lead Site Managers, installation teams, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with Project Directors, Commercial, Design, and Compliance teams.
- Liaise with clients, DNOs, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Review electrical/M&E designs for construction and buildability.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, tenders, and appointments.
- Monitor project costs, cash flow, milestones, and commercial performance.
- Manage project documentation, ITPs, QA plans, RAMS, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate equipment, materials, permits, and project logistics.
- Provide regular progress updates and maintain risk and issue registers.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved project delivery.

Essential Experience
- 2+ years as an Electrical Project Manager on grid connection projects, OR
- 3+ years as an Electrical Project Manager within Transmission & Distribution, OR
- 5+ years within the HV industry as a Site Manager or similar.
- Proven experience working with DNOs.
- Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure and construction delivery.
- Experience managing budgets, costs, and cash flow.
- Proven project delivery experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and solve problems effectively.
- Strong Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project skills.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites when required.

Desirable
- Previous ICP or DNO experience.
- HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering.
- APM or PRINCE2 qualification.
- Experience across LV, HV, and Transmission & Distribution projects.
