About The Role:
Days of Working: Monday to Friday - 07:30 to 16:30
A Qualified Supervisor is the electrically competent person with specific responsibility for the safety, technical standard, and quality of electrical installation work completed under their supervision.
A Qualified Supervisor is responsible for:
- Ensuring that the results of inspection and testing are recorded correctly on the appropriate certificates or reports.
- Ensuring that the business’ premises, equipment, documentation, and records are available for inspection when required by NICEIC.
- Supervisory duties for all electrical operatives.
- Safeguarding all unused NICEIC forms of certification and reporting any loss, theft, or misuse.
A proposed Qualified Supervisor should:
- Be available to the business on a full-time basis.
- Have at least two consecutive years supervisory or managerial responsibility for the standard of electrical installation work.
- Satisfy the technical training and/or experience requirements.
- Understand the Electricity at Work Regulations, current edition of BS 7671, and the Codes of Practice and guidance documents relevant to the range of electrical work undertaken.
- Understand the inspection, testing, verification, certification, and reporting procedures for the range of electrical work undertaken.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrate competence / experience as an electrician.
- Work across a wide range of electrical installation types and materials.
- Demonstrate competence of electrical testing and completion of electrical installation certificates (NICEIC). Including appropriate collation of reports, software, correct application of testing equipment, etc.
- Participate in the supervisory on-call rota and maintain the Engineers on-call rota.
- Demonstrate a reasonable working knowledge of other building service systems.
- Willing to work overtime to support the needs of the Business.
- Verification of subcontractors' reports and other in-house reports within the contract.
- These duties and responsibilities may be changed in accordance with the needs of the company, in particular the post holder may be required to provide support to holders of other posts according to changes in workload and patterns of working.

Essential
- Full UK Driver's Licence.
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must be able to qualify for the role within NICEIC.
- Experience in in-service test and inspection of electrical installations.
Desirable But Not Essential
- Experience in Maximo system.
- Experience of working in a busy large office environment.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Experience using NICEIC Click Software.
