The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Qualified Supervisor to join our growing Operations team and play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of electrical compliance, safety, and quality across our network.

The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise in electrical installations, inspection and testing, and regulatory compliance, alongside excellent leadership and communication skills. Working closely with field engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders, you will provide technical oversight, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support the successful delivery and operation of Connected Kerb's charging infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical supervision and technical oversight to a team of field-based engineers and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal procedures, quality standards, industry regulations, and Health & Safety requirements
  • Oversee all electrical activities across both project delivery and operational functions, including planned and reactive maintenance
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and company standards
  • Review, audit, and approve electrical certification, including Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs), Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), and Minor Works Certificates
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and deliver projects within agreed timeframes and budgets
  • Provide technical electrical support and expert advice to clients, contractors, field engineers, and internal teams
  • Deliver training, coaching, and mentorship to engineers and employees, promoting continuous improvement and professional development
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of inspections, certifications, completed works, materials used, and project progress
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical regulations, standards, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality assurance checks to ensure safe and compliant installations
  • Carry out inspection, testing, commissioning, and certification of electrical systems and equipment as required
  • Support the commissioning of equipment on-site and provide remote technical assistance, including communication with CK operating systems
  • Perform testing and verification of electrical components and systems to ensure safe, reliable, and effective operation
  • Investigate and resolve electrical issues, providing guidance and support to field teams when required
  • Ensure all accidents, incidents, near misses, and non-conformances are reported, documented, and escalated in line with company procedures
  • Support the Operations team as required, providing specialist electrical expertise across the business

Working Requirements

  • This is a hybrid role requiring travel to operational sites as necessary to fulfil the responsibilities of the position
  • Occasional attendance at the Central London office will be required for team meetings, company events, and business updates

Key Competencies/Behaviours

  • Proven experience in an electrical supervisory role or similar position
  • Strong electrical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret electrical certificates
  • Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing teams effectively
  • Strong project management abilities, including planning, execution, and monitoring of projects
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment while promoting best practices among team members
  • Highly self-driven and resourceful with a proactive mindset
  • Solid administrative capabilities with attention to detail
  • Well-organised and methodical in approach
  • Skilled in effective prioritisation and forward planning
  • Strong background in customer service and client-facing roles
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to engage at all organisational levels
  • Proactive and positive, 'can do' attitude

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Fully qualified electrician, with experience in the highway, commercial & domestic sectors
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification
  • 18th Edition
  • 2391 Testing & Inspection
  • EV qualifications 2391 or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience as a qualified electrician
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, standard PC applications, Electrical Certification Software
  • A professional approach to all aspects of work
  • Full clean valid UK driving licence (proof of zero penalties and no previous convictions essential)
  • An understanding of industry governance and compliance
  • EV Car charging experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Comfortable with basic software set ups of our chargers and use of IT equipment - training will be given if required

Experience with data cabling, GSM, metering advantageous
