9-Day Fortnight | Hybrid Working | L&D Support | Diverse Project Portfolio (Retail, Commercial, Science, Aviation)

Ada Meher is partnered with a leading MEP Consultancy as they seek an Electrical or Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Birmingham office. This team delivers design-led MEP solutions across RIBA Stages 2-4, working on a wide range of technically varied environments - including Retail, Commercial, Residential, Science & Research facilities, Stadiums, Airports, Hospitals and more.

You’ll be joining a business known for its structured progression pathways, strong L&D culture and collaborative engineering environment. The role is fully design-focused, working closely with Mechanical, Electrical and Sustainability specialists to produce high-quality building services designs across a broad project mix.

The consultancy operates a hybrid model, typically 2-3 days per week in the office depending on team requirements. As part of their commitment to work/life balance employees have the option to condense their hours into a 9-day fortnight, giving every other Friday off. With a clear banding system, the business offers transparent development routes and ongoing support from a dedicated L&D team.

To Be Considered:

  • Experience in Electrical Design Engineering within the Building Services sector
  • Background designing systems such as small power, lighting, security, containment and distribution
  • Experience delivering MEP designs across RIBA Stages 2–4
  • CIBSE accreditation or industry relevant charters would be a bonus
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Comfortable working across sectors such as Commercial, Residential, Science, Healthcare, Aviation or similar
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with clients and internal stakeholders
  • A desire to progress within a structured banding and development framework
