About the Role

As an Electrical Service Engineer within NOV’s UK Aftermarket Service team, you will support the service, repair, inspection, installation, and commissioning of NOV equipment at offshore and onshore customer locations worldwide.

This is a home-based role within mainland UK with extensive international travel on an ad-hoc basis. You will use your electrical maintenance and controls expertise to diagnose faults across electrical and control systems, including PLC and computer-controlled systems, AC and DC power systems, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).

Depending on the work scope, you may work independently at customer locations or alongside mechanical and other Service Engineers as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role is highly customer-facing and requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and professional customer service.

Why This Role Matters

Reliable electrical and control systems are critical to the safe and efficient operation of customer equipment. By diagnosing faults, resolving technical issues, and supporting installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities, you will help customers minimize downtime and maintain operational performance.

Your technical expertise, flexibility, and ability to respond to changing customer requirements will directly support the quality and reliability of NOV’s global Aftermarket Service operations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
