Job Opportunity: Electrician
DPS are seeking to recruit an Electrician from ideally a Water/Wastewater or Field Service background to join our busy Service division. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Electrical Engineer to join a fast paced and innovative company.
They will primarily be responsible for leading the Electrical activities across the Service & Repair division. Duties will cover electrical installation & service on municipal, industrial and wastewater treatment plants, various pump and control related tasks across several clients in Northern Ireland.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Service Manager and providing daily updates on progress
- Work with a large range of mechanical/electrical equipment & materials. Including, but not limited to, pumps and specialist equipment in water and wastewater.
- Engage with management and service coordinators to ensure smooth preparation and delivery on site
- Completing all job-related paperwork and documentation as required
- Support DPS trainee programme and develop future electrical engineers to a high standard
- Conduct on site activities to a high standard and in line with client expectations
- Engage with DPS customers and supply chain in a professional manner.
- Site visits as needed to establish customer needs and develop plan for delivery
- Maintaining a high standard of service and communication with customers
- Ensure service jobs are conducted in compliance with our HSQE policies and procedures and where required, work to site specific method statements and risk assessments
- To perform the job in accordance with the company's policies and procedure
- To perform any other duties as may be reasonably be required from time-to-time

Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in Water/Wastewater or Field Service applications is desirable
- Qualified Electrician
- ICA experience is highly desirable
- Willing to train junior employees/ apprentices
- Excellent fault finding/diagnostic skills
- Good organisation and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and able to work with minimal supervision
- A clean full UK driving licence
