Job Opportunity: Electrician

DPS are seeking to recruit an Electrician from ideally a Water/Wastewater or Field Service background to join our busy Service division. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Electrical Engineer to join a fast paced and innovative company.

They will primarily be responsible for leading the Electrical activities across the Service & Repair division. Duties will cover electrical installation & service on municipal, industrial and wastewater treatment plants, various pump and control related tasks across several clients in Northern Ireland.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Service Manager and providing daily updates on progress
  • Work with a large range of mechanical/electrical equipment & materials. Including, but not limited to, pumps and specialist equipment in water and wastewater.
  • Engage with management and service coordinators to ensure smooth preparation and delivery on site
  • Completing all job-related paperwork and documentation as required
  • Support DPS trainee programme and develop future electrical engineers to a high standard
  • Conduct on site activities to a high standard and in line with client expectations
  • Engage with DPS customers and supply chain in a professional manner.
  • Site visits as needed to establish customer needs and develop plan for delivery
  • Maintaining a high standard of service and communication with customers
  • Ensure service jobs are conducted in compliance with our HSQE policies and procedures and where required, work to site specific method statements and risk assessments
  • To perform the job in accordance with the company's policies and procedure
  • To perform any other duties as may be reasonably be required from time-to-time

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in Water/Wastewater or Field Service applications is desirable
  • Qualified Electrician
  • ICA experience is highly desirable
  • Willing to train junior employees/ apprentices
  • Excellent fault finding/diagnostic skills
  • Good organisation and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and able to work with minimal supervision
  • A clean full UK driving licence
