Service Engineer (Electrical) – Northern Ireland

Location: Lisburn, Northern Ireland
Salary: Competitive DOE
Hours: 39 hours per week

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Service Engineer to join a specialist service team working on diesel generators and associated electrical control systems across Northern Ireland.

The Role:

  • Service, maintain and repair diesel generators and ancillary equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, including control panels to component level
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance
  • Interrogate and program ComAp and Deep Sea generator controllers
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Support generator control system upgrades and new installations
  • Provide initial fault finding remotely and on-site
  • Participate in an on-call rota and attend breakdowns when required
  • Occasional travel throughout Ireland, including overnight stays

What We’re Looking For:

  • ONC/D, City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Time-served electrical technician/electrician with 3+ years’ experience
  • Strong industrial electrical fault-finding experience
  • Experience with generator controls, ComAp and/or Deep Sea
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills
  • Flexible approach to weekend and out-of-hours work

  • JIB/SparkSafe or recognised electrical certification
  • CSR card / H&S qualification
  • Diesel or gas engine experience
  • Previous generator service/maintenance experience
