About TLS x Rhenac
Turf Lighting Solutions, part of Rhenac Group, provides specialist lighting technology and technical support to professional sports venues in the UK and internationally. Our systems help grounds teams maintain high-quality natural turf in challenging growing conditions.
The role offers the opportunity to work directly with customers at professional sports venues, combining hands-on engineering with technical problem-solving, customer support and involvement in the continued development of TLS products and services.
Position Overview
Position: Electrical Service Engineer – UK
Reports to: General Manager
Location: Home-based, UK, with UK-wide and international travel as required
Employment: Full-time, permanent

Turf Lighting Solutions is looking for an Electrical Field Service Engineer to provide high-quality technical service, maintenance and customer support for our lighting rigs and associated equipment across the UK and internationally.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role combining technical expertise, customer service and commercial awareness with a strong commitment to quality, health, safety and environmental standards.
Working primarily at customer sites, the Electrical Service Engineer will be the UK service go-to person for electrical and automation-related matters, working closely with customers, agents, TLS and relevant internal teams to ensure effective service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Include
- Provide service, technical support and regular maintenance for lighting rigs and other relevant equipment in collaboration with customers, agents and TLS.
- Deliver excellent customer service while supporting strong commercial results.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships and effective communication with customers.
- Act as the UK service go-to person for electrical and automation-related matters.
- Follow and adhere to all relevant technical documentation, project and service checklists, procedures and plans.
- Maintain and comply with all applicable Quality Assurance (QA) and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, safe working practices and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Perform all activities in accordance with RA Aluminium and TLS’s Quality Management System.

Additional Responsibilities
- Feed ideas, best practices and lessons learned from lifecycle services and service delivery into new products, product enhancements and potential business opportunities.
- Deliver training sessions to relevant customers when required.
- Record and report customer support cases and contribute to knowledge-base development, problem-solving and root-cause identification.
- Share relevant technical, customer, market and competitor information with other functions within the organisation.
Responsibility and Authority
- Execute service activities in accordance with TLS plans, budgets and agreed accounts.
- Keep up to date with relevant technology trends and developments, with particular attention to customer requirements and competitor positioning.
- Communicate relevant market, technology and customer information to other functions as appropriate.
- Identify and communicate potential technical, quality and service improvements.
- Quarantine hazardous operations or equipment where there is a concern regarding safety, compliance or equipment integrity.
- Ensure that service activities are conducted safely, professionally and in accordance with company procedures.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Level 3 electrical/electrotechnical qualification
- 18th Edition / BS 7671 qualification
- ECS Gold Card
- Relevant practical experience may compensate for a lack of formal technical education or qualifications.
- Valid UK driving licence.
