Electrical Shift Engineer
Belfast
Shift Pattern: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Days Off
Overtime: Paid at 1.3x rate and regularly available
The Role
We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join a busy manufacturing facility in Belfast. You'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing automated production equipment, minimising downtime, and ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on automated machinery.
- Support PLC fault-finding and troubleshooting activities.
- Maintain packaging, bottling, and labelling equipment.
- Work with motors, drives, sensors, relays, and control systems.
- Complete maintenance records using SAP/CMMS.
- Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
- Ensure all work is completed to GMP, food safety, and health & safety standards.

Requirements
- Time-served Electrical Engineer or equivalent qualification.
- Strong electrical fault-finding experience in a manufacturing environment.
- PLC troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of motors, drives, pneumatics, and industrial automation.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience within FMCG, food, beverage, packaging, or manufacturing environments is desirable.
