Electrical Shift Engineer: Data Centre

Location: West London

Shift Pattern: Continental Days and Nights

Salary: GBP54,000 + Overtime and Package

Are you an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer looking to join a high-availability, critical environment? We are recruiting an engineer to maintain operations at a state-of-the-art Data Centre in West London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and Planned Works: Receive electronic PPM instructions and execute all mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks to strict schedules.
  • Fault Finding and Diagnostics: Undertake comprehensive diagnostic analysis across the site's whole electrical and infrastructure system.
  • Site Logs and Compliance: Maintain precise electronic and paper records, ensuring an accurate Site Logbook is kept up-to-date for client approval.
  • Client Engagement: Liaise directly with client representatives to address queries, maintain outstanding service delivery, and respond promptly to on-site requests.
  • Stock and Inventory: Monitor, manage, and replenish maintenance consumables to ensure agreed stock levels are consistently met.
  • Condition Inspections: Conduct visual inspections of all installed equipment and submit written reports on potential risks to system reliability.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere strictly to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, actively reporting risks to ensure a zero-harm working environment.
  • Breakdowns and Emergencies: Respond rapidly to site breakdowns and call-out requests, keeping the client informed on progress.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend value-add opportunities to Contract Management to enhance productivity, cost-efficiency, and service quality.
  • Sub-Contractor Management: Supervise and report on the performance of sub-contracted works on site.

Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified Electrical Engineer (NVQ Level 3 / C and G or equivalent) + 18th Edition.

Experience:

  • Previous critical site experience: Data centers, hospitals, etc.
