Electrical Site Manager – Government Infrastructure Project
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £75,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Project Duration: 4 Years
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Site Manager to lead the delivery of electrical works on a major government infrastructure project based at an HMP site in Cambridge.
This is a long-term, four-year programme offering excellent job security, a competitive salary, and the opportunity to play a key role in delivering essential upgrades within a secure and highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of electrical works on site.
- Lead and supervise site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and ensure programme milestones are achieved.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety legislation, project specifications, and site procedures.
- Coordinate with project managers, client representatives, and prison authorities.
- Review and manage RAMS, permits, inspections, and quality documentation.

Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- SMSTS qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (preferred).
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and site management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required to work within an HMP environment.
