Job Title: Electrical Superintendent-Data Center

Location: Chester, Virginia

Company: IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical

Employment Type: Full-Time

Note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or work authorization support. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.


Job Summary

  • Plan, supervise, and direct the personnel involved in the installation of electrical systems to ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Maintain a culture of safety and quality.
  • Have a complete understanding of project design, drawings, specifications, and installation requirements.
  • Work in conjunction with the Project Management Team on material and equipment buyouts, schedules, labor, and tracking.
  • Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure compliance with project and company standards.
  • Evaluate, mentor, and train field supervision and tradesmen.
  • Perform takeoffs and pricing for change orders and project-related work.
  • Evaluate productivity and schedules and make adjustments required to optimize efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Current State Electrical Journeyman License or 4-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or licensed journeyman experience.
  • 10+ years experience in electrical construction supervision, technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures.
  • Experience working with technical industrial, Pharmaceutical, or Data Center environments.
  • Hyperscale data center experience preferred.
  • Experience with $20M-$100M electrical projects preferred.
  • OSHA 30 or ability to obtain.
  • Understanding of construction and labor scheduling, cost control, and ability to control and supervise large groups.
  • Ability to perform takeoffs and pricing for change orders and related project work.
  • Excellent computer, communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and MVR check.
