Job Overview - Electrical Supervisor
This role will be predominantly based on the national infrastructure project Lower Thames Crossing and will involve working closely with Tier 1 contractors and their civil engineering teams. You will support the safe delivery of charging zero-emissions plant and equipment using mobile Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), while ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with our electrical safe systems of work.
A key part of this role is supporting onsite operations through the installation of earthing points and earth pits, along with all associated testing and inspection activities. You will help ensure smooth coordination across the project, particularly in relation to planned earthing installations and the safe charging of battery-operated plant and equipment via the various static and mobile BESS systems. The role also involves issuing permits, maintaining clear communication with the site team, working in line with the programme, and staying ahead of upcoming works along the agreed routes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
