ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR | CABLE JOINTING SUPERVISOR | LV SUPERVISOR – THAMES VALLEY
The Opportunity
Our client is looking for a Supervisor to lead its Cable Jointing teams across the Thames Valley. You will take responsibility for their day-to-day operational management, ensuring each team has the people, equipment, materials and information required to deliver work safely and efficiently.
The role covers new connections, fault response and asset maintenance. It could suit an established Electrical Supervisor or Team Manager, or an experienced electrical craftsperson ready to progress into a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop Cable Jointers and operational teams.
- Plan and coordinate new connections, fault works and asset maintenance.
- Support teams with LV fault-finding and network restoration.
- Conduct site audits and maintain high standards of safety, quality and technical compliance.
- Ensure work is delivered in line with client specifications and contractual requirements.
- Support LV testing and switching activities where appropriately authorised.
- Ensure teams are suitably trained, equipped and competent.
- Review operational drawings, records and completion documentation.
- Make commercially sound decisions while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Work closely with HSQE and operational leadership teams.

Essential Requirements

- Full UK driving licence.
- Current or previous IDNO or DNO operational authorisation.
- Current or recent NRSWA Operative or Supervisor qualification.
Desirable Experience and Qualifications
- Experience managing teams within an operational environment.
- Good knowledge of electrical distribution networks.
- Experience responding to LV faults.
- SMSTS or IOSH qualification.
- CSCS or EUSR.
- NERS Passport.
- Knowledge of ESQCR and the Electricity at Work Regulations.
