Electrical Supervisor
Location: London
Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Thames, part of Galliford Try.
In this role, you will oversee and coordinate all on-site electrical activities, ensuring work is delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with specifications, contractual requirements, and quality standards. A key responsibility will be to ensure a safe working environment for everyone on site and contribute to exceptional customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Site Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners, and visitors
- Ensuring compliance with Galliford Try’s Electrical Safety Rules and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
- Verifying that all relevant documents accurately describe the work to be undertaken
- Updating and correctly recording Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) documentation
- Reviewing and approving Method Statements and Risk Assessments
- Supervising assigned work to ensure it aligns with approved Method Statements and Risk Assessments
- Recording work progress on drawings or other suitable media as required
- Inspecting and documenting incoming materials and associated documentation
- Tracking material locations where traceability is essential
- Ensuring site testing adheres to IEE 18th Edition Regulations requirements
- Recording non-conformances and improvement opportunities, coordinating follow-up actions
- Promoting a strong health and safety culture and reinforcing that safety is central to every task
- Assisting with planning and change control, maintaining precise and consistent records
- Coordinating with customers and non-electrical trades
- Representing and promoting Galliford Try professionally
- Managing the receipt, issue, and distribution of drawings on site
- Updating and maintaining accurate records of variations
- Supporting quarterly reviews and contributing to resource forecasting
- Managing site drawing control and reporting
- Preparing and reviewing Method Statements and Risk Assessments
- Supporting construction completion processes and Take Over Certificates
- Upholding and applying Galliford Try’s Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies and targets
- Adhering to Galliford Try BMS processes and proposing improvements as necessary:
- Ensuring proper use of the 4 Projects system for document management

About You
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in the water/wastewater industry
- City & Guilds Electrical Installation qualification
- 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations certification
- First Aid qualification
- SSSTS (Site Safety Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme) or SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification
- CSCS or ECS card
Preferred Qualifications:
- HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering
- City & Guilds APLV (Advanced Periodic Layer Verification) Certificate
