We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and industry-leading service provider that delivers engineering and maintenance services within critical healthcare environments. They are looking for an Electrical Supervisor to oversee a team of engineers while supporting the day-to-day delivery of electrical maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of 7 to 8 electrical engineers.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
- Ensure all electrical works are carried out safely and in compliance with statutory regulations, HTM guidance, and company procedures.
- Provide technical support, guidance, and mentorship to engineering staff.
- Carry out hands-on electrical maintenance and repairs when required.
- Allocate workloads and manage daily priorities to ensure service delivery targets are achieved.
- Conduct quality inspections and audits of completed works.
- Manage permits to work and ensure safe systems of work are followed at all times.
- Support the management of subcontractors and specialist service providers.
- Complete and maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for service improvements and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Participate in the on-call rota (1 in 3 / 1 in 4 weeks) and provide emergency support when required.

Essential
- Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical building services maintenance.
- Experience working within a critical or highly regulated environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.

Desirable
- Previous experience working within a healthcare or NHS environment.
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification.
- Knowledge of HTM (Health Technical Memoranda) standards.
- Experience using CAFM systems and maintenance management software.
