Electrical Supervisor

Meridian are working with a MEP contractor near Scunthorpe that are looking to bring in an Electrical Supervisor to head the electrical installations on site. Works will consist of full onsite installations on a variety of commercial and domestic jobs such as schools, offices, government and council buildings, domestic sites etc., with full onsite installation and a large focus on renewables and solar installations too. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an exciting growth period, where progression and further opportunities may be available for the right person.

Benefits

  • Starting salary within £50k - £55k p.a range (DoE)
  • Additional overtime may be available dependant on the project (if desired)

Requirements for this role

  • Gold JIB Installation/Approved Electrician card
  • SSSTS/SMSTS essential
  • 2391 Testing is not essential but is a bonus
  • Experience supervising teams of Electricians, Electrical Testers, and Electrical Apprentices on various sized projects
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience with renewables, solar, and commercial installations is essential
  • Work harmoniously and productively alongside other trades on site
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with management and customers
  • Good timekeeping with excellent organisational skills

Duties

  • Overseeing electrical installations onsite in commercial and light industrial settings
  • Be a focal point between onsite engineers and project management teams
  • Problem-solve when required, ensuring projects stay on course without compromising HSE compliance or industry standards
  • Work closely with teams of electricians, apprentices, and other subcontractors on site
  • Help co-ordinate onsite inductions and RAMS
  • Provide regular updates to project teams with progress reports and requirements for any materials
  • Be polite and friendly, representing your company when dealing with customers and supply chains
