Electrical Supervisor – Rail Industry

Location: Glasgow

Contract: Long-Term, Ongoing

Industry: Rail

Start: Immediate / ASAP

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a long-term, ongoing rail project based in Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrical professional with rail experience to secure a long-term position working on a major project.

The Role

As Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervising electrical teams and subcontractors on site
  • Coordinating daily electrical activities and resources
  • Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and programmes
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality
  • Liaising with site management, engineers and project teams
  • Carrying out site inspections and monitoring progress
  • Supporting the delivery of electrical installations within a rail environment
  • Ensuring all works comply with relevant rail and electrical standards

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Electrical Supervisor / Electrical Chargehand / Electrical Site Supervisor
  • Experience working within the rail industry
  • Strong understanding of electrical installation and site supervision
  • Good knowledge of health & safety requirements
  • Ability to manage and coordinate electrical teams
  • PTS (Personal Track Safety) – highly desirable
  • Relevant electrical qualifications preferred
  • SSSTS/SMSTS or equivalent supervisory qualification advantageous
