Astute’s Power Team is exclusively partnered with a well-established Energy company to recruit for a Fleet Electrical Engineer to support with working across the fleet of their Gas Power Stations across the UK.
The Electrical Engineer comes with a competitive basic salary + bonus + private medical + other excellent benefits. This role will be Hybrid where you can work from home and travel to sites when required, mainly during times of outages.

Responsibilities and duties of the Electrical Engineer role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for:
- Delivery of electrical engineering support and technical documentation in compliance with all applicable legislation, design codes and industry standard
- Provide HV and LV support for the fleet when it comes to planned and unplanned station outages to overcome engineering issues
- Support, perform and advise on HV and LV switching on site
- Participate in and coordinate comprehensive design reviews
- Actively participate in technical due diligence for major maintenance and planned projects
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure repairs, outages or projects are effectively planned within budget and on time
- Maintain and update the fleet’s electrical asset register

Professional Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- The ideal candidate will have a HND, or equivalent, in a relevant engineering discipline such as Electrical/Electronic Engineering. This is not a necessity though and industry experience will outweigh a qualification
- A health and safety qualification such as an IOSH will be highly advantageous
Personal Skills And Prior Experience
The Electrical Engineer role would suit someone who has:
- Prior experience with hands-on maintenance experience in a heavy process engineering environment such as Power, Refinery, Paper Mill, COMAH sites, FMCG, etc.
- Experience working with both HV and LV electrical systems
- Good knowledge of relevant electrical legislation and codes
- Experience in managing subcontractors
- Good stakeholder relationship management
- Royal/Merchant Navy Marine Engineers will also be considered for this opportunity
