About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Surveyor to join our Housing Service, playing a vital role in ensuring our void properties are safe, compliant and ready for new tenants. You will be responsible for carrying out pre- and post-void inspections, reviewing electrical installation condition reports (EICRs), managing testing and certification programmes and overseeing contractors to ensure works are delivered to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on residents by ensuring electrical safety, quality and compliance across a large and diverse housing portfolio.
About The Team
Our Repairs Service is responsible for maintaining approximately 20,000 tenanted and leasehold properties, delivering high-quality repairs, maintenance and compliance services across the borough. Working alongside Operations Managers, compliance teams, contractors, and housing professionals, you will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to providing safe, well-maintained homes. The service is committed to continuous improvement, professional development and delivering excellent outcomes for residents through a proactive and customer-focused approach.

About You
You will be a qualified electrical professional with NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, AM2 certification, and City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent. You will have proven experience in electrical inspection, testing and certification, alongside experience managing contractors and monitoring performance. A strong working knowledge of BS 7671 Wiring Regulations, electrical compliance standards within housing and relevant health and safety legislation is essential. You will be confident in producing technical reports and schedules of work, identifying defects, specifying remedial works and ensuring high standards of quality assurance. - Work location: Broadwater Farm Community Centre
