Role – Electrical Team Leader – Blast Furnace

Salary - £46,241.97 p.a.

Location - Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN16 1XA

What You Need To Know About The Role

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Craft person or Team Leader to join the engineering team at our Blast Furnace.

In this role, you will lead craft work groups made up of both internal employees and contractors ensuring that all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently.

Your primary responsibility will be to plan, supervise and execute daily electrical maintenance and improvement tasks ensuring they are completed on time to support asset reliability and use your skillset to respond to arising breakdowns.

You will work on many different types of electrical and engineering equipment that includes motors, drives, sensors, instrumentation, PLCs, SCADA/HMI, MCC (power centres), hydraulic and pneumatic systems, gas systems and water systems.

What We Need To Know About You

To be considered for this position you must be qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade or have served a recognised apprenticeship*.

Ideally you will have experience of electrical maintenance and fault finding within a commercial or heavy engineering environment. Essential to the role is the ability to adapt to new equipment. You must be flexible, have a desire to learn and develop and an ability to adapt to new equipment.

Knowledge of steelmaking processes would be beneficial but is not essential, as extensive training will be provided.

Certificate evidence will be required
