As an Electrical Technician in our Estates team, you'll help ensure healthcare facilities remain safe, compliant, and fully operational. Your work will directly support the delivery of patient care by maintaining critical building services, systems, and equipment to the highest standards.

What you’ll do as an Electrical Technician
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on a wide range of building services, plant, and equipment.
- Install, commission, and maintain machinery and systems in line with manufacturers’ instructions and statutory requirements.
- Diagnose faults, respond to breakdowns, and take corrective action to minimize disruption to healthcare operations.
- Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and installation manuals to support maintenance activities.
- Support the delivery of compliance requirements through accurate record-keeping and use of maintenance management systems.
- Contribute to a safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues through high-quality maintenance services.

- You have completed a recognised apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical engineering, or plumbing, or hold an equivalent qualification.
- You have experience maintaining building services, engineering systems, or healthcare estates environments.
- You can confidently diagnose faults, analyse problems, and implement effective solutions.
- You are comfortable interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturers’ documentation.
- You are committed to continuous professional development and maintaining compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- You take pride in delivering high-quality work and contributing positively as part of a team.

This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme, which involves a detailed check of spent and unspent convictions and other relevant information to ensure safeguarding compliance.
