Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 + 10% Shift Allowance (Worth up to £4,200)

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Electrical Technician to join our dynamic engineering team at Panels and Profiles, part of Tata Steel’s Building Systems division. Based at our Shotton site, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and improving the electrical systems that power our high-performance manufacturing processes.
What you will do
- Maintain and repair electrical and process machinery to maximise uptime and ensure safe operation.
- Lead and support preventative maintenance programmes to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical faults and breakdowns quickly and effectively.
- Work with contractors and suppliers to source resources and components efficiently.
- Train and coach production operators in basic electrical safety and maintenance best practices.
- Support continuous improvement by recommending engineering solutions to optimise quality, cost, and productivity.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies across all activities.

What you will need
- HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with control systems and PLCs – Siemens experience desirable.
- Competency in using IT systems and engineering software.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and coaching skills.
- A proactive, safety-first mindset and ability to work under pressure.
