Build What Matters.

At SYOS, we’re building the next generation of autonomous vehicles across air, land and sea. As we scale our UK aviation production capability, we’re looking for a hands-on Electrical Technician – Aviation to join our growing team in Fareham, Hampshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to join at a key stage of the programme, working directly on the assembly, integration, testing and troubleshooting of avionics and electrical systems across unmanned aircraft, payloads and ground support equipment. We’re scaling our SA60 aviation programme and building the team that will support the next phase of production and deployment.

Our permanent roles are initially based in Fareham, Hampshire, with potential for future production locations as SYOS continues to grow. Relocation support may be available where required.

What You’ll Do

Working alongside our engineering and production teams, you’ll help turn aircraft from components into operational systems.

You’ll Be Involved In

  • Assembling, installing and integrating avionics, electrical systems, sensors, payloads and wiring harnesses
  • Configuring and testing flight controllers, autopilots, navigation, telemetry, C3 links and ground control systems
  • Manufacturing and repairing cables, connectors and wiring, including crimping and soldering
  • Reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams and engineering drawings
  • Fault-finding, repairs, component replacement and functional testing
  • Loading approved firmware/software and maintaining configuration records
  • Using test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and RF test equipment
  • Supporting payload integration, aircraft rigging, ground testing and pre-delivery checks
  • Maintaining accurate build, test, maintenance and defect records
  • Working closely with engineering, operations, suppliers and customers to deliver safe and reliable systems

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
