Electrician - Sabic TMS
Altrad are currently looking for experienced Electricians to join the team for Maintenance Team on Wilton.
This role will involve working 9 Day Fortnight rota pattern, Mobilisation Start Date ASAP.
The position is paid under TMS Local agreement - lodge and travel is not applicable.
This role will involve carrying out electrical installation, assembly, testing, fault finding and associated activities across site, working with minimal supervision while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and workmanship.
Key Deliverables
- Carry out electrical installation works and associated activities safely and in accordance with project, site and legislative requirements.
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings, general arrangement drawings, electrical schematics, circuit diagrams and method statements.
- Set out and undertake electrical installation activities with minimal supervision.
- Carry out the assembly and installation of electrical components, plant, equipment and associated wiring systems.
- Undertake hand and machine fabrication of materials and components required for electrical installation activities.
- Test electrical plant, equipment and associated wiring systems in accordance with approved procedures.
- Carry out fault finding, diagnosis and fault rectification on electrical plant, equipment and wiring systems.
- Work from assembly and installation drawings to ensure equipment is installed in accordance with engineering and project requirements.
- Inspect tools, plant and equipment prior to use and report any defects or safety concerns to supervision.
- Prepare work areas, equipment and materials prior to commencing activities and reinstate work areas to a safe condition following completion.
- Participate in pre-job risk assessments and ensure appropriate controls are understood and implemented before work begins.
- Work in accordance with permits to work, risk assessments, method statements, POWRA requirements and site safety procedures.
- Complete all required work documentation and associated records accurately and in accordance with project requirements.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards and ensure work areas remain clean, tidy and safe.
- Report accidents, incidents, equipment defects and unsafe conditions promptly to supervision.
- Maintain the highest standards of safety, quality and workmanship at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, clients and other team members to support the safe and efficient delivery of work.

Key Requirements / Qualifications
- Completed a Level 3 Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent recognised electrical qualification.
- CompEx 01-04 certification.
- Valid CCNSG Safety Passport or IOSH Managing Safely certification.
- Minimum two years' post-training experience in the assembly, installation and testing of electrical plant, equipment and associated wiring systems.
- Demonstrable ability to carry out electrical installation activities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience in electrical fault finding, diagnosis and rectification.
- Strong understanding of safe systems of work, permits, risk assessments and point-of-work risk assessments.
- Relevant site and client-specific inductions and training will be required.

Desirable Qualifications / Experience
- City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations.
- City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Initial Verification of Electrical Installations.
- City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations.
- CSCS Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) Card.
- IPAF / MEWP certification.
- Forklift Truck certification.
- Previous experience working within a major industrial, petrochemical or process environment.
