A Leading Facilities Management Provider is Seeking an Electrical Technician

A leading Facilities Management provider is seeking an Electrical Technician to join its team at a static site in Greater Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a standalone role, supporting the day-to-day delivery of planned and reactive maintenance while ensuring compliance across a busy operational environment.

The Role

As the Electrical Technician, you'll:

  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance with an electrical bias.
  • Carry out fault finding, testing, inspection, and minor electrical installation works in line with BS7671.
  • Complete basic multi-skilled maintenance including plumbing, HVAC, and building fabric repairs.
  • Supervise contractors, manage permits to work, and ensure RAMS and health & safety compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records using the CAFM system, including compliance documentation and maintenance reports.
  • Support KPI reporting, audits, and statutory compliance activities.
  • Carry out PAT testing, electrical isolations, and ensure compliance with Electricity at Work Regulations.

You

To be successful in the role of Electrical Technician, you'll bring:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
  • Current BS7671 Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection & Testing.
  • Experience within Facilities Management, Building Maintenance, or a similar environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and electrical maintenance experience.
  • The ability to carry out basic plumbing, HVAC, and fabric maintenance tasks.
  • Good IT skills with experience using CAFM systems or maintenance software.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.

Desirable:

  • PAT Testing qualification (C&G 2377).
  • Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of permits to work, RAMS, and compliance processes.
  • First Aid, IPAF, or Fire Safety qualifications.
