The Role

My client is a well-established engineering manufacturer seeking a Test Engineer to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role responsible for carrying out electrical acceptance testing on high-value engineered products, ensuring all equipment meets customer specifications, engineering standards, and quality requirements before dispatch.

Working closely with Electrical, Production, Quality, and Engineering teams, you will play a key role in delivering reliable testing solutions while supporting continuous improvements within the test facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical acceptance testing on large industrial electrical equipment.
• Perform high-voltage testing in accordance with engineering procedures and safety regulations.
• Accurately record, analyse, and report test results against customer specifications and engineering standards.
• Produce detailed test documentation and ensure results are recorded within company systems.
• Support the development and improvement of testing methods, data acquisition systems, and test procedures.
• Ensure all testing equipment is correctly maintained, calibrated, and fit for purpose.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to coordinate testing activities and meet project deadlines.
• Investigate faults identified during testing and support root cause analysis where required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and compliance with Health & Safety procedures.
