Electrical Test Engineer

Location: Luton, Bedfordshire

Flexible Hours: Choice of start & finish times, early finish Fridays

A leading manufacturer of rotating equipment is actively seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to join their in-house engineering team.

Their innovative machinery is used across a wide variety of industries including oil & gas, renewables, nuclear, chemicals, refrigeration, and defence.

About the Role

As Electrical Test Engineer, you will have responsibility for performing acceptance testing and reporting on pumps and motors in line with quality procedures and engineering requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting up and conducting high voltage testing
  • Completing and logging test reports
  • Ensuring compliance with procedures and safe working practices

  • Performing up to high voltage testing
  • Completing and logging test reports
  • Ensuring compliance with procedures and safe working practices

About the Company

This is an exciting time to join them as they are continuing to expand their core product ranges, increasing their presence in growing markets such as hydrogen production. The development of bespoke solutions to meet specific customer needs means your work will be interesting and varied.

You will be working closely across all departments to support both current operations and new products. This will include:

  • Explaining test results
  • Working with other internal stakeholders to find solutions

Requirements

Applications are invited from experienced Electrical Test Engineers who have a proven track record of delivering testing within a manufacturer and/or external test house.

You will need to have experience of working with high voltages up to 13.8kV and 3.2MW.

Flexible Working

There is a choice of office hours starting between 6am-8am, and the company operates a 1pm finish on Fridays.
