Electrical Test Engineer

Glasgow

£38,000 - 42,000 + Four-Day Working Week + Monday to Thursday + Regular Overtime + Opportunity to Significantly Increase Your Earnings + Long-Term Job Security + Supportive Family-Feel Environment

Join an established and growing engineering company offering a four-day working week alongside regular overtime and the opportunity to significantly increase your annual earnings. As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will become part of a close-knit team testing bespoke control panels for industrial related applications.

In this position as an Electrical Test Engineer, you will work within a busy, project-based workshop environment, testing completed electrical equipment before it is released to the customer. You will work closely with electrical fitters, production teams and experienced engineers to identify faults, resolve technical issues and ensure every project meets the required quality and safety standards.

Your Role as an Electrical Test Engineer Will Include:

  • Testing LV switchboards, MCCs and electrical control panels
  • Completing functional testing of control circuits and electrical systems
  • Testing protection relays, Variable Frequency Drives and soft starters
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings

As an Electrical Test Engineer You Will Need to Have:

  • Previous electrical testing experience within switchgear, control panels or similar equipment
  • Practical fault-finding and diagnostic experience
  • Experience using electrical testing equipment
  • A recognised electrical qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience
